- All details and arrangements must be finalized ten (10) days prior to the function time.
- Menu prices will be guaranteed for not more than ninety (90) days prior to the function date.
- Gratuity is not included in contract and is solely at the discretion of the client.
- In addition to all functions charges, the client agrees to pay applicable taxes.
- Menu selection and minimum meal guarantee is due ten (10) days in advance of the meal function. Price quotes are based on the number of guests originally expected. Should the final attendance decrease 20% or more from the proposed total, the menu prices will be increased by 10% due to food costs. Final guaranteed count is due ten (10) days prior to the function. Georgetown Caterers will be prepared to serve 5% more than the final guarantee. Extra food is provided for Georgetown Caterers staff at no cost to client. Ask your consultant for cost of vendor meals.
- Full payment is required in advance, unless the client has made satisfactory credit arrangements. In the event credit has been established, terms of payment shall be worked out prior to the function (this does not apply to wedding receptions). A deposit of 1/3 of the total amount shall be due and payable upon acceptance of this contract (and further guarantees the function date) and full payment is due ten days prior to event. In the event of cancellation by the client, the deposit will be held to cover loss of revenue caused by client’s previous guarantee of date.
- Georgetown Caterers shall not be liable for any damages to the client’s guests and invitees in the event that circumstances beyond the control of Georgetown Caterers interferes with the performance of the function as scheduled. Circumstances which may result in such interference shall include, but not be limited to, labor disputes, strikes, government control, restrictions or regulations on travel, site operation, commodities or supplies, accidents, acts of war or acts of God.
- The client undertakes to conduct the function in an orderly manner, in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and site rules. The client assumes full responsibility for the conduct of all persons in attendance and for any damage done to any part of the site premises or theft of property .
- Georgetown Caterers will not be responsible for the affixing of anything to the walls, floor or ceilings of rooms with nails staples, tape or any other substances unless approval prior to the event is given by the management of the site.
- Georgetown Caterers reserves the right to make reasonable substitutions if unable to secure specified items. Client will be informed of any changes whenever possible. Georgetown Caterers is not responsible for the culinary quality or safety of any foods beyond the time span of the function; In addition clients may not take away food left over from any part of the event. Georgetown Caterers retains the right to refuse to prepare or serve foods provided by the client. Georgetown Caterers is not liable for any food prepared by or supplied by the client.
- Client understands that guests are required to leave the premises by the stated "End" time as listed on the contract. Georgetown Caterers grants one 15 minute grace period past the agreed ending time for guests to leave the site. After said grace period, should any guests still be on the premises, then an additional 1- hour cost may be charged to the client.
- Georgetown Caterers reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to any guest and will not serve alcohol to underage guests.
- The client will be responsible for loss or damage to any rental items delivered to event site in advance of contract date.
- The client will be responsible for the cost of any linen stained by candle wax.
- The client must pick up within 3 business days after the event any items left at The Chalet from that event. Georgetown Caterers is not responsible for any items left after an event if said items are not picked up within 3 business days after the event.
